You cannot put a password to control access to your sms folder or any other folder. It's a feature all SE phones don't have AFAIK.

Yes, but Java apps work by encrypting\\decrypting the file with a password, so anytime you want to use that file you'll need to start that app, decrypt it and then use the file, which takes a lot of time to do.

using java apps to lock files and folders in a SE phone is a total pain in the as$. this is something that SE hasn't been able to do. maybe they'll add it in some future phones, maybe.

phones don't have the feature to lock folders like SMS, MMS, pictures, videos, etc... only some manufacturers specialize in those features, with motorola ang samsung being two of them...

yup, i believe SE should really move towards the capability of setting password for folders.. for example, samsung phones already have this feature for its photo folders..
