You will have to search a Symbian forum which will list the available software for a particular variant, some developers do develop for all some don't the is no hard and fast rule for this I'm afraid. Yes the M600 is worthy of Symbian status as it runs the same operating system as the P990 UIQ3 just not the same hardware as the P990 has different features.
