How do I play my music from my K800 to my bluetooth device set up in my Audi?
I tried connecting to the device via bluetooth and it did, but trying to play music through the car speakers didn't work, the music just coming from the phone's speakers...
I know it can be done since my dad can do that exact thing using his Nokia 6230.

long answer: Yes, that's the difference between N*** and SE.
I recognized this with some N***-handsets using them with a SE bt-headset. It was possible to hear the music with the BT-headset but the SE handset aren't able to make. Just the new stereo-BT-headsets can play music. Same is on a BT-car-system. To play music from a SE handset to a BT-headset or BT-Soundsystem, the headset or the soundsystem must have the new A2DP-BT-profil (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile).
Plaese don't ask me why the nokia handsets can do it without Advanced Audio Distribution Profile because usually this is impossible.

i use the Sony Ericsson MMR-60 FM Transmitter to do just that. k800i -> mp3 on m2 micro -> car radio.

Yep, there is basically 2 BlueTooth profiles being used there. When playing music the A2DP profile is used which provides high quality stereo connection (but no mic). When you get/make a phonecall, the device switches to
headset/handsfree profile which is the low quality mono connection.
Unless your car kit supports A2DP you wont be able to play music to it over bluetooth.
...well actually you can play music using the low quality Headset profile, but the sound quality will suck. a lot. Thats probably why you can play music on some nokia headsets that dont support a2dp
