try flashing a new firmware or the same firmware from wotanserver. i believe it has the R3A011EROM which was said to kill phones like my K800 and your K610. Try readin' the k800 firmware thread on flashing your phone's EROM and firmware with wotanserver, i believe it's the same case as the K800.

@Boba - here in dubai, a replacement would be done when the phone dies as long as its due for replacement(firmware being not available) and WITH warranty. I guess thats the benefit of getting phones from authorized distributors rather than those non-warrantied unitsin the black market. Yes you do pay a huge amount of cash for warrantied units but the ease of a replacement or parts being changed(in case of broken parts) for free is obviously a great advantage. However, people would tend to buy non-warrantied phones as they come really cheap; a P990 costs 2795aed(406GBP) from authorized distributors here while a non-warrantied unit would cost 2130aed(309GBP). Which would you rather buy?

I had the same problem. My K800i just died 3 weeks after i bought it. It would not switch on. The red led in the infrared panel flashed when i tried to turn it on. SE was able 2 fix the phone at no cost 2 me.

@ali-Good thing that a software-fix did it, I really thought it's either a hardware problem or it's already, dead.
