I posted a thread on the wotanserver forum yesterday just wondering if it possible to have the EROM update for free (as you HAVE to flash update to phone after so still have to buy a credit) and to my total suprise they released a updated client today which allows free EROM updates.
Fantastic, really good they decided to do that great service

what does a EROM update or "change" actually mean ?
What can you do if you update or change it ? Is that a part of the Firmware or the Phone-OS ?

to my understanding the EROM is like the BIOS of a pc, it controls memory timings, CPU commands etc etc.
The update fixes the problem that lot of ppl have, including me with the WSOD that can kill ya phone. I already sent 1 k800i back with that problem so i got my new 1 today and after fully charging it i will be updating it.
Although i get mixed things if all the stuff will still work with regard to UK 3 msn messanger tool

They are listed as seperate items, as individual new features. They refer to all db2020 phones that require updating.
But i will try tonight and i will confirm for definate.
