Went into my local P4U store today to ask them when I can cancel my 3 contract cause I want to go onto a diff network that offers good price and the P990. The guy told me that they had a chance to get 10K P990s but rejected them cause they're crap.
I already know about the software bugs but he just kept yapping on about how the drawback was that the circle hole on the camera didn't allow enough light in...WTF!? We dont buy the P990 for its camera quality, we buy it cause we like the features it has to offer. But anyways, he said that they won't be stocking them
Can anyone confirm that P4U aren't going to stock them? Cause its either wait until my contract runs out or I can cancel within 14months instead of 18

oright m8,
i just read your post and his sounds like a f**king d**k, if i was u i would strom back in there and demand for them to order you one. say your on a contract with them and you want to get a p990.
if they say to you they wont be able to get you one just tell them it rubish as it is not hard to order a mobile fone from the manafectura. if they still say they still cant get you one say that you want to take your bussness else where and yr going to send a letter to there head office. trust me doing this will make them get u one yr a customer and customers are aways right.

This is phones4U your talkng about, "Alegedly" their head office instruction is just sell what you have in store, if you have not got what the customer wants see if you can sell them another handset, I know they have monstrous targets to hit and I have had complete BS from some of their "advisors" in the past, just go somewhere else mate and dont waste your time on muppets

To be honest, the whole retail arm of Caudwell Communications (ie P4U, Dial-a-phone and Singlepoint) are notoriously bad.
T-Mobile have started to pull there products and services away from P4U because they consistently miss-sell them. One example is that they have been known to tell customers that allthough Flext time plans are 18 month contracts the customers can upgrade after just 12 months...WTF!!!
And, according to one guy in a local branch (when they were still doing Flext), you have to call T-Mobile at the begining of the month to tell them how you want your allowance split. Now that sounds really flexible, doesn't it!!!
Avoid P4U like the plague!

Sounds like typical sales banter from them IMO.

My favourite was going into p4u and asking about a p910i when they were first out. The guy said they had them and showed me to a desk. I was only enquiring about the price but the guy started filling out the contract details on a tariff that was a lot more than i wanted to spend or needed. After a while of the guy continuing to fill out the application and avoiding my questions i just stood up and started to leave. The guy had the cheek to call me rude for walking off.

I just got my M600 from P4U and when I got it home I started getting loads of dogy texts (this is a brand new number by the way)... I then had a missed call from a land line and called it back to have a women telling me that the number I called from was supposed to be hers. I check it and it was a completely different number from the one on my contract. I called P4U who said that the number on my contract was cancelled (within 5 hours of getting it!).
And to top it off the call centre couldn't do anything because they had be down as a business account!.
It eventually got to the stage that I was going to have a new sim card sent (that was on the 22nd) I called back today only to be told that I was sent a text to tell me to go into the shop and get a new sim... They only sent the text to my new number WHICH I DONT HAVE!
FOR FUc|
Also note that the reviouse contact I got through P4U, I had to have a new number for almost the same reason as above... they are F-ING useless.

Sounds like you got a M600 without a contract. I would go somewhere for a new contract and keep the phone. Its their error.

Why bother with a contract just get a PAYG chip and load it up with a regular ammount via your bank
