Hi Guys,

I have searched these forums thoroughly, I can't find a post about the SE M600i and static druing phoen calls.

When I make or receive calls i receive a lot of static during my calls, soemtimes I can't even hear the other person.

However if I plug the headset in, its gone, unplug the headset, a few moments later its back again.

Can anybody shed soem light? Runnign the latest firmware r9a002, r3a01, r4c01, r3c01

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

it sounds like a hardware issue. i would take it back to where you purchased it and either have it checked and/or replaced.

its going to be fun, as the phone was purchased from a local shop ( in melb australia) however I think the phone is from singapore.

How does SE deal with these type of support issues?

well if it's under an authorized dealer warranty, they may just replace the phone. if it's a grey market unit, then it depends upon the good graces of the store who sold it to you whether they will repair or replace it.

if it's a grey market phone, the worst case scenario is that they don't offer you any kind of warranty and you would have to pay for the repairs to the phone.

U can just repair it. Here it's no more than 15 EUR to fix it and change the headset inside.

the problem seems to be with the software i think.

my girlfriend calls me.. today it got to poitn where I coudlnt even hear her. then I caleld her back.. and it was fine.. with minor static on the call.

so i am not sure that the actual speaker is broken?

i cam from a xphone IIm and that had unbelivable voice quality compared to this. Maybe I have high expectations?

any thoughts people, I was hoping someone migh thave come across the same issue.

thanks guys fro your input
