If anyone can help me I'd be grateful!

I can sync the phone via bluetooth, which operates fine. But I can't get my pc to recognise the phone when connected via usb. It's driving me nuts.

I've been into the mrouter and sync settings to see if there's something wrong, and even un/reinstalled all software a few times but no difference.

When connected for the first time the drivers all install, but the error message comes up that "there was a problem with your hardware installation and it might not work properly." After this point I try to connect the phone and no good. It connects ok if I change the settings to file transfer, but when switched back it's not found.

I've tried the newest pc suite upgrade and also installed the newest firmware which the phone was already shipped with, but no result.

Any ideas welcome.

@LordBrabazon

1. Uninstall PC suite

2. delete the COM ports that were being used by m-router

3. re-boot your PC

4. re-install PC Suite

5. attach you P990 and see if it does create the COM ports without errors
