My mate's downloaded a game onto his K800 and wants to send it to me over bluetooth. Unfortunately it's got a padlock symbol next to it and will not let him send it. Is there any way around this?

Once the game is downloaded and installed there is no way to send it via bluetooth. Unless you have the game's .jar file in your 'Other' folder you cannot send it across.

There is something like the original JAR file in the phone's system directory in the memory stick or the phone memory when the game is installed. Actually it can be sent to other device if you have an application to copy the file to others folder (or anywhere else) and send it. I've tried this several times before. It works, but very rarely. That .jar file isn't exact copy of the original one so 90% of that .jar files don't work. Try it, maybe you are the lucky one. Copy the .jar file from the system directory using Zeus or MobyExplorer.

On a K750/w800 it works perfectly like that but I have a patch installed which moves the folder of games to other/ams.
So if I move the game to main memory, use moby (crappy copy protection) to copy the game out of the ams folder to the other folder and I can send the game.

A simple pc free solution is to use the mini opera hack to download all your java games into the others folder using the 1 button.
Now you'll have the installer on your phone which you click to install to yours(it stays in others also) and you can send it to other phones using the more button.

If you're doing it with a pc just put all your java games into others and install from there on your phone.

Another easy way to copy the installed games (even the ones that came preinstalled) is My Phone Explorer with the PC help.

Currently MPE has reached the 1.5.7 version, but any version above 1.5 will work.

So, MPE will save the .jar files in some folder that you've specified onto your hard drive, and after that, you will have to send the files to the device you want them installed (if it's another SE, the MPE will work also, and it will be able to send multiple jars without asking the phone confirmation, otherwise, send them through your connection - cable, irDA, BT).

As far as I know, no installed java application can be transfered from a phone directly to another, due to the copyright laws, that's way the lock sign is displayed near the app.

anyone who can connect his mobile on PC should do this...
download .jar or .jad file onto computer, then he/she shoould transfer file from pc to mobile, into "other" folder... then he can start installation from phone, and send file to someone else, but the next one won't be able to pass it allong...
again:
No Programs Needed

@bane,

And what if you are not able to get a particular game jar or jad file (even on net or no access to net) and that game is installed on your friend's phone only. Thats where My phone explorer comes into picture.
