Depressing isn't it...

They are also not offering deals as competitive as last year or as competitive as the competition to a larger extent. They keep harking on about long weekends, but I do not use my phone on Sat/Sun!!!

Which other networks are launching it?

I know Orange are, how about 3?

But..it should mean the O2 handsets will have the rumoured latest P990 firmware and perhaps O2 may have this on their handsets before Voda....

Jah, why should it? they prob will as my guess is Voda is currently taking all the current production run of the P990's so when O2 start to get theres they'll have the latest FW on. The Voda FW on the P910i was only a couple of weeks behind the generic FW so I lived with that no probs. Meant bugs could be found before I updated. Obviously the gripe was the locking of internet and MMS services.

What do you mean? I have a VF P990i and managed to get it working fine with GPRS with my Orange SIM (SIM is not 3G) just for a trial. Back to my VF SIM now but it doesn't stop you creating new connection profiles.

I said that was the case with the P910i (not P990i). I was highlighting that the VF firmware was pretty much standard and up to date abit with some annoying feature lock outs like that.

It’s very simple … they delaying because after release P990i nobody will buy “O2 XDA Mini”,“O2 XDA Exec3G” or similar shxxxx phones.

… and is nothing about FW … O2 care only about profit.

I guess, release will be move to November ...

It’s time for me, move away form O2 .....
