Just realised that my M600i has a qwertz layout meaning it is not uk. Is this why i cant update to the latest firmware. Also does it make a difference.

Do you know that there is a later firmware to begin with for your m600? If there is a later fw for the m600 you may have to take into consideration that it's not released for you region code.

yeah thats the conclusion i hgave come to. I figure the reason i recieved the handset not a uk i one ,is cause they are not released on O2 contract yet. On the plus side at least its unbranded and unlocked.

its good bit slow could do with new firmware. Excellent for viewing vids and pics. Just setting everyhin up it does take a while

Sorry but i have to disagree with you on this only got mine on Saturday updated to latest firmware, sent settings from SE site and set up Yahoo e-mail from T-mobile site and all was quick and easy. Last things i added where SwissManger and the black theme from the SE site. I am glad i waited this long to get mine and so far am loving it have had no problems at all.
