Just recieved my new Moto KRZR K1, and I have to say,
it's rather nice, really what the RAZR should have always been, slim, narrow and well featured, but hay lets not pick on the RAZR.

I'll get some pics up shortly and let you know about the new OS on the phone, certainly looks much better than previous Moto efforts, more logical and better layed out.

Build quality seems excellent, plently of metal, and very tactile and expensive plastics, camera quality seems good (for a 2 MP job), and the screen is pin sharp.

All in all very impressed so far, and this last 2 months thats taking some doing, as I have had the SE M600, P990, Nokia N73 and N93 so far.

More to follow

Strange, I have a V3 here, and I have a option that allows copy the phone book to SIM.

Strange that you don't, could be a older FW that you have on the one you used.

This OS is very different, it's similar in look, but all the menus have been reworked and the hirachy has all been changed, making things simpler to find and navigate.

Sounds great. After a bit of feedback may be tempted by one.

Dunno bout that then, but mine didnt, and other things in the OS put me off.

Hi Dave,
Many thanks for the pictures it looks nice if not a little tall, nice looking phone and you can't beat a nice bit of metal IMO and i believe the shiny plastic is actually fibre glass. I am very interested in how you find the new OS etc etc .

It's fractionally longer than the RAZR, but it happily fits in the RAZR case.

It massively narrower than the RAZR and feels great in the hand. The front is a composite material, and it's mirrored like nothing else I've seem before.

The rear, and the casing and and hinges are all cast metal. Feels great in the hand, and opens so smoothly.

The menus are similar in asthetics and look, but the organisation is much better.

It adds new menus such as;

Flight Mode
Phone Status
Headset
Car Settings
Network
Security
Connections
Media Centre

Heres a sample pic from the 2 MP camera

Is this a camera I see?
If it is, do you think there is sufficient light entering the lens?

:Edit:
Never mind it is a camera!! but still do the pictures from the viewfinder seem a bit darkened since the casing is like the outside of a pair of shades.
