> K800 and failure during PC connection

Hey.
I have a HUGE problem. I can't connect my K800 to the PC. I have tried with two cables and 6 different PC's, but the computer won't respond. My mobile detects the connection by showing the Filetransfer Mode and Phone Mode. But the PC's just won't respond! Have anyone else been affected by this F***ING bug? It must be a bug, because my computer responded ONE time and the New Hardware window appeared, but i had forgot to downlod the newest drivers (I don't like CD-drivers, they tend to be old) so i unplugged the mobile while downloading them. But after that, the mobile was not to find...
This was the FIRST day i had it..
My firmware: R1CB001, that means that this is the oldest of them all. First release, and according to K800 Firmware Overview on Esato it has a LOT of bugs....
Do you folks belive that a Firmware upgrade will fix it? I have no other problems than this particular one.
Help.....

Without wanting to say 'they told you so' they do tell you *not* to disconnect - it's the worst thing you can do . . .
a) update firmware and check again
b) look for unidentified devices in windows device manager
c) ring Sony

2) I know, but even if this caused the problems, why didn't the 5 other computers respond? I have even reset the mobile configurations....
3) I have talked to three mobile stores, but they don't understand whats wrong either.
