I am on my 3rd k800i from T-Mobile UK.

The 1st one I had - it crashed about 30 times a day / white screen after RRS updates / Navigating etc so I returned it and got a replacement.

My 2nd one had a slanted screen problem which made me feel drunk when using it so I had that one replaced.

My 3rd and current one is starting to play up after having it for two weeks. It started the other day when it:
1) crashed with the white screen and just wouldn't switch on! I had to remove the battery to boot it up
2) Froze when viewing my photo's and I had to again reboot by taking out the battery
3) Started to get the white screens and the phone resets
4) It's starting to swith itself off without touching it!
5) Doesn't shaw all my contact pictures correclty
6) Froze when adding a RSS feed
7) The plastic on the # key has started to peel off!?
and tonight it wont let me access my games I bought and opera browser as it says they are currently not available.

I've never had a phone with so many problems before and I feel I have made a mistake with going for the k800i. I'm not sure what T-Mobile will do as well as this is my 3rd K800i and they will think I'm mad or something, but I''m just not happy with it and I need a reliable phone.

Are other k800i owners having these problems and will T-Mobile replace it for another phone model? Maybe the N73 or something?

Thanks

it could be the t-mobile branding what makes your fone faulty

Don't think the T-Mobile branding will make the plastic no the keys peel off! Ha On a more serious note, the only prob i've had with my T-Mobile branded K800 was the joystick-software wise no probs (fingers crossed). Sounds like you've just been dam unlucky! Would call them again and tell them whats happened-sure they'll be understanding and do something for you-after all, nothing ventured nothing gained! :-)

Thanks for the replies...

This is interesting, something I've just checked - T Mobile UK have withdrawn the k800i from their website!

Maybe it was a problem with the branded firmware?

It's highly likely that the T-Mobile FW is the issue, you'd be surprised what difference it can make.

It only needs a very small programming error to create havoc on the phone.

Hi all,
Sorry to hear of your troubles but in my experience T-Mobile are one of the better Networks to deal with. You should find you get offered nothing less than a replacement or if as you say it has been withdrawn something else within 24hrs. Also of late T-Mobile branding is minimal just T-Zones and Web N Walk icon as they do actually realise it causes them less problems in the long run.

I hope there isnt a running trend with all T-Mobile k800i's because im expecting mine in the post tomorrow

/Ste

although mine is apparently going to be from the new stock of k800i's that they got in today - so if there is a problem i hope they've fixed it
