I've gotten errors close to the end as well. It worked a few times for me, but these errors have been very consistent lately. Even with directshow off.

this is only true for files larger than 500mb i believe. try it with an episode of some series (350mb or so) and it will not fail.

I've been able to convert one file above 700 mb, but that is it. Everything else above 500mb fails.

i am able to convert files less than 500mb but the biggest problem is that if i try to run these converted files in my handset it takes around 3-5 minutes to launch.... am if i touch the handset in between it will hang....
the firmware needs to be updated before we can play these file s properly

I've gotten error messages also, but noticed that the files would play just fine regardless of getting this error or not. But the P990 takes longer to launch the files that got the error than those without. It's a shame, because the program has really good functions, no other program I know has all this built in, like enqueing and good control over quality and bitrate.

yeah ive had probs with super its a good program for small files but has problems with the bigger ones....its great for audio ripping from video files.
i personally use nero recode2 or avs video converter for mobile video conversions each has its pros and cons however, nero is faster and you can see how big the file is gonna be but ive found unless the origonal files audio isnt mp3 then it wont convert it to mp3 and this normally leads to a very quite movie in aac format on your mobile....
now avs on the other hand is an outstanding program its not freeware but its well worth it for just about ANY type of conversion you want, you cant control the bitrates as such for the video but you can choose the quality and with a bit of trial and error u can achieve the required results and where nero fails with the poor volume avs lets you increase the audio levels so u can actually hear your converted movie on your mobile....avs`s problem however is that its quite slow but that might be the fact that i have a laptop with no dedicated graphics card, speed wise example an 90minute divx to dvd would take nearly 2hours ish....
hope the post has been helpfull,if anyone needs some tips in mp4 converting then let me know,i`m no expert but i maybe able to help.

i am also using the Nero Vision (ver.7) under PSP format - Crystal clear clip indeed. i have converted 15mins clip and it took more than 20mins to covert to mpeg4. but the real problem i have is that it takes more than 1min for the phone to load the movie clip, the sound is so low, and if you happen to move ur phone (i.e. set volume to high, or close the clip...) it will freeze.. everythign hungs up... and its very frustrating. How are you coping and palying movie clip so far. Lonely Cat for Smart Movie has no update yet for the P990i platform
btw, i couldn't donwload SUPER as well
