Sony Ericsson today launched the MBW-100 Bluetooth Watch. Created for people who enjoy using the latest technology to stay connected to the world around them, the MBW-100 has sleek lines, classic looks, and a distinguished presence that represents new mainstream Bluetooth fashion accessory from mobile phone suppliers.

Crafted from high quality stainless steel with a silver facia, the analogue watch will go on sale globally during Q4 of 2006 with a guideline retail price of approximately EUR 300.

Designed in partnership with watch industry leader Fossil, the MBW-100 allows a whole new way of looking at a mobile phone. A stylish OLED display beneath the watch face displays who is calling when a call is incoming. A simple key press on the watch can reject the call, meaning users can remain in control of their calls in the utmost discretion.

Most consumers cannot do without the indispensable tools for their busy lives - their wallet, keys, mobile phone and watch. By adding control of their calls and music to their watch, as well as notification of text messages and a clever out-of-range notification when users are separated from their phone, the MBW-100 helps consumers become more efficient in their daily communication. It also makes listening to music simpler by allowing users to play, pause and skip to the next track in their phone's music player. So, leaving their phone in their pocket and letting their watch become more than just a time keeper, means control is always to hand.
