first of all I have serached the forums and have tried sugested programs.

I'm after a GPS SatNav application that will work on my 7k50i. I have a bluetooth GPS receiver which is brand new only got it yestoday. but most of the applications I've tried need to use a GPRS connection. I would like a program that uses pre downloaded maps for example like tomtom uses.

I use a 1GB stick with my k750 so space isnt a problem. it just costs too much to use satnav with gprs.

Thanks

There are SatNav java application which do not use gprs, but they're not for navigating the whole world. They can only navigate the region (city, area and etc) which are made for. Or there are some apps which reguire maps to download for them.

I only want one for navigatin the UK or even if it's per city.

I would appreciate if you or any one could post a link for any of these apps if they exist.

GPSWatch: the Pro version (20 eur) allows you to upload your own .png maps (scanned, photographed, downloaded) and the Premium version (30 eur) has a soft utility that automatically downloads maps from net (google / yahoo / more) and put them in the format used for software. The applications are still in development.

@upper there are quite alot bear in mind they still need a GPS receiver. they work by readin ur location via the gps receiver. I'm using this GPS reciver that I bought off ebay.
http://www.kaali.co.uk/index.pl?art=110

then the application sends the location to a centra server and sends back a map of the location your at.

the major disadvantage is it's too expensive. most GPRS connections are expensive.

and advantage of this method is the little storagespace or memory the application uses.

I'm after a Navigation app for my k750 that uses offline maps. that doesnt require a GPRS connection. since I made my 2nd post here I have found a few apps that use offline maps. for example

MobitrackPRo
Trekbuddy
GPSwatch

but they aint straight forward.
