Hello everyone. Well basically, I'm wondering if the button is meant to be slight shaky, almost like a mini joystick. This navigation pad looks a lot like that of the w810i, and the one of that is rather rigid in comparison, so I'd like to know if it's only my phone, or if this is a common characteristic of all those around.

Another question, can I choose not to show the alarm thing at the bottom left of the screen when I set the recurrent alarm, since I don't really need to be reminded that I have an alarm which would ring everyday. I've some other questions too, but I kinda forgot them so I'll add on when I remember what they were.

My girlfriend's and my mates K610 is exactly the same, this is by design.

Looks like the author of the thread WAS asking about the K618i . . . and not the K600 or K610 The joystick design on the K618i is much MUCH different from it's predecessors . . . YES, it's NORMAL that it's quite shaky . . . as it's BASE is not like that of the K600 nor that of the K610i . . . About your 2nd \" Q \" . . . well, I haven't tested that myself dude !

It's not a joystick, its a button and if you look on the inside (forget the base, that doesn't really have much to do with why its shakey), the way it is implemented is practically the same as the K610 which is why I used it as a comparison.

My question would be why would SE design these two phones like this? I've got an S700i and a Z800i and the center button on those are fine (S700i probably has the best build quality of all nav pads). Because this is a 'by design' feature, what could have been the reasoning behind it?

@dc - The K600 and K610 both has the - JOYSTICK, while the K618i . . . yes, has the BUTTON, same as with the S700i. In a way, I guess the function is a BIT different from that of the JOYSTICK to that of the BUTTON - type, this is where it's BASE connection will set in .

Ah thanks for the many replies. Well yeah, as in the middle button of the nav pad is quite wobbly. It's just supposed to be able to be pressed down, however it's wiggling around. I don't know if it's supposed to be loose, or mine's just like that.

But if it's supposed to be shaky, then I suppose mine is fine then haha.

if sg is shaky, its more hard to brake if it falls, lets say a swivel or slider fone

The K610 has a button, not a joystick:



My girlfriend has the phone, I can tell the difference between a joystick and a button
