I was wondering if there is a way of using mp3's for the video dj. Maybe using a converter?

I am sure you can use mp3s in video dj. I have used many of my itunes converted songs in my videos, some might have been mp3s.

I think i cracked the code. I have a w900i and i have been able to add tracks converted in itunes. I checked it out, and all the tracks i can add are my own tracks converted from wav format. What i suspect is that only tracks without id3 tags or any of that kind of information will work. So i suggest removing that info from a track and then try it. If that does not work convert your track to wav and then back in itunes.i dont know if it will work with mp3s but it should. It is probably a mechanism put in place to make it hard to use copyrighted music, but it is easy to bypass. Tell me if you get it working.

I think you cannot use MP3 at all in the video editor, which seems to be word. No debate necessary for that one. I just converted some Enigma from mp3 to m4a in i-tunes, and it worked perfectly. The file had no information tags.
Maybe the tags has nothing to do with it. I just do not have as many m4a files as I thought I do have.
According to these results, just use i-tunes or some other aac converter to convert it to m4a and you are set.
