> W800i Memory Stick

I Just bought a sony memory stick pro duo 256mb, when i insert it into my w800i the fone jus goes to a white blank screen an keeps flashin it on and off, it will not star up with the memory card inside it an if i put it on will the fone is on it jus white screens, can u tell me how to work this out please, thanks

Hi,
probably the phone doesn't recognise current format.
1) If you can, switch on the phone. Insert your MS and select File Manager. Press the "More" option and select "Ext. Mem. Format". The problem should disappear.
2) If phone goes crazy as soon as you insert the MS, then first try to format using your PC, and make it a blank MS. Afterwards, follow step 1.
3) If you reach this step... I am sorry, I cannot do anything else.

take it back to where you bought it from and get an exchange because it sounds like its defected,or if your able to, find someone else who has a phone that can take the card and see if it works in theres, if it does and then you possibly need to update the firmware on your phone, or have your phone sent back to SE to be repaired
