I hunted down a k800u yesterday in allure brown and successfully converted my k790a..

the housing swap wasn't that hard... the back antenna caused a bit of trouble cause i was worried about snapping off the hinge but all-in-all a very easy housing swap.. the bulk of the phone is one piece.

Couldn't swap out the front camera grill so i had to improvise a bit...i had some left over cellphone earpiece grill mesh stuff and plugged the whole.. looks alright doesn't bother me

Anyways i'm happy now nothing to buy on the se front right now so i have to find a way to keep myself entertained lol...

Just wanted to share

Very nice, I think I prefer the brown.

How long did it take for you change the housing over? What tools do you need?

Thanks

small philip (+)
t6
finger nails, sim card or cellphone tool (whatever you're good with)
compressed air
cleaning clothe

took about 1 hour.. because i was turning them both on and off to make sure all the functions still worked..

but to take apart the phone should be about 10 mins.

i've taken apart everything from w900's to t68i's so i've got some experience but the key is patience and don't force anything.
