> PC problems? HELP!

It started a few weeks ago but I didnt think it was anything. But every now and again (well almost once a day now) my computer just stops. The mouse and keyboard dont work. Anything that was loading just stops, the screen just stays still. Ive found that if i wiggle my mouse after it freezes the wireless reciever still flickers, until i press a key on the keyboard when it just freezes aswel. Im pretty sure its not the mouse or keyboard, and I thought it was something i downloaded but its not. I do put my pc on hibernate a lot instead of turning it off, and I have found that if I turn off my pc and leave it for half and hour it doesnt happen as much. Its a bit of a pain because I have to restart my pc and tis annoying when I have stuff to do.
Anybody had this happen to them or know anything about it. I think it could be the Ram getting overloaded but im running a 512 with an amd 64 3000+ and ive seen pcs being sold with less ram that seem to work.

I had that problem last year, the ram card was loose, I just had to put it tight and everything worked again.
