Hey guys.
For a while i've been trying to figure out what the OS on different Mobiles are - W800 for example. Is the firmware the OS? Or is it similar DOS upon which Windows runs? In that case, what is the OS of phones that are not classified as smartphones 'cos those are covered by either Symbian or Win Mobile 5/6?

in SE's case, the smartphones use the Symbian OS. non-smartphones use a proprietary SE OS, normally referred to simply as firmware since it isn't really branded or anything.
same goes for nokia too i guess.
actually i'm not 100% sure, but i think the core non-smartphone SE OS is developed by ericsson.
