Hello everyone i need a little advice please.

I've had my amazing vodafone k800 a couple of months now and it suffered the won't turn on fault!
I sent it back to vodafone for repair and it has been reflashed with R1ED001 and EROM R3A016 They sent it back to me in a week!Amazing service!

My problem is that voda have put a generic firmware on the phone and the keypad doesn't function as it should ie the red and green buttons don't answer and drop calls like they used to on voda firmware!

Also the battery they gave me back looked like it had been ran over by a car scratches and dents all over it!
I have spoken to customer services about the battery and they were excellent about it all and they have agreed to send me a new battery!

Do you guys think i should complain about the keypad/firmware ?
Or am i whining about nothing considering they have been so good about the battery!
All comments and advice appreciated.
Many thanks
Regards
Lee

Give them a call back and say about it, if they won't do anything then flash it yourself

By red and green buttons I'm assuming you mean the soft keys? In which case, can you not answer or reject a call at all? or just not in the same way?

If not at all, then complain.

Hello and thanks for the replies.
Sorry about the confusion!

@Siosal
Yes i can still answer my calls! I answer them like a normal generic se phone!
But i have got a green answer button on my voda branded keypad which now functions as a generic internet button and a red drop call button which now functions a generic task menu button!
In short the new generic firmware is not compatible with a vodafone keypad!

@ghostfreak
I'm not that bothered about the new firmware as its the latest !Its just my keypad buttons are red and green and they don't function like voda intended!Should i ask for a new keypad?

I might get on fleabay and get me a new generic keypad and faceplate and be done with voda branding for good.

Thanks again

I don't see the problem so long as you remember the left button is to access Vodafone Live! and the other is to access the shortcuts? I've debranded my Vodafone locked K800i and it hasn't once entered my head that this is a problem.

Finding a generic keypad might prove difficult. I've only ever seen one on eBay and cnn.cn don't have them the last time I looked.
