> M600i - FW Update and Sync on Mac OSX?
Bookmark topic
Hi!
I owned a Z1010 and was surprised about its compatiblity to Apple OSX. Now I bought a M600i and quess what? I cannot sync my contacts via bluetooth and Apple iSync. The phone is not supported. I really am disappointed. Does someone know if I can at least update it to the newest FW with my PowerMac G5 Quad?
Or it there a third party product which gets my Mac to communicate with the M600i to copy contacts and my iCal?
How do I know which FW my M600i has? What are the features/bug fixes of the newest version?

You should be able to access the phone's service menu by pressing
jog dial up * jog dial down jog dial down * jog dial down *
You can then find your firmware versions in
Service data > Software data (freely translated from my Dutch settings)

PDA Software Version: R3B01
Telefon Software Version: R4A002
Bluetooth Software Version: R3A01
CDA Version: R2A07
Is that old or new?
Is the M600i a real Blackberry Phone? There is a Apple Software called PocketMac for Blackberry to sync such phones.

No that software wont work unfortunetly, this is a known problem which apprenetly no 3rd party software could fix until Apple have released a driver for it. Apprenetly SE has spoken to Apple about the problem, unfortunetly its a waiting game. You can send all you numbers from Address Book via bluetooth to your phone, but thats hardly syncing...

I've tried to update the software with SE Update Service but the program told me, that there is no newer version for my M600i? How can that be?

@4motion,
No you can not use the SEUS with a Mac. If you have had several SE phones, this would be rather apparent.
As for syncing, SE or Apple has come up with a solution. You can however use 4Smartphone as a way to sync your data. I use it and it works. They use an exchange server where you can sync your data over the air. Go to
www.smartphone.com and yes it costs money. Sooooo you have the option of not paying and not syncing or paying and getting synchronization functionality until either SE or Apple comes up with something.

Has anyone gotten their M600i to see their Mac or to mount the phone in Finder? My M600i will not mount in finder even though someone here in the forum said it will. SE says it won't.
