> Application ideas for UIQ3?
Bookmark topic
Hi!
I want to exersize coding for UIQ3, so I thought the best idea would be to ask others opinion, on what type of applications they would like to see?
I don't have much time to work on it, so I'm interested in smaller projects... but I think any idea should be posted, since other coders could check the list as well

I have tons of ideas
But maybe one thing that many people would appreciate is network oriented like a network explorer (samba/nfs/upnp). Then being able to read mp3 from there would be great

I think the best implementation would be to somehow create a new drive and map the samba/nfs shares there.... but that's too complicated to me, but I agree, it would be a really nice project... and I think it would be possible to impelement it as well.... but I think Symbian doesn't released the neccessary info for this.

How about an app to remap game controls in java games?
Also something to turn on and off silent ringer easily in FO mode.

1. How about an application that allows us to map the hardware buttons to any application or doc.
2. An address book application like Vito Quickcontacts. It should be able to have any sorting preference e.g. first name & company name. In the FC mode, the lookup of this application should be like a t9 dictionary that narrows down your contact list on key presses e.g. for bob i would need to press the 1,6 & 1 keys each only once.

Port the Magic Progile PRO man. That was a BEAUTIFUL app on my P900.
I mean it looked at my meetings, times, towers, had priorities, was able to change the ringtone, divert calls. It had it all. I miss that app right now, when I have to go an change the sound setting. The ACM comes close, but it needs more refinement and functionality.

Very useful for me could be if you were able to develope a way to show in the main screen a view similar to Nokia E70 or WM5: the complete information about your mails, tasks and next appointments, without having the necessity to open the Task Manager... I mean in the first screen.
