none of my cards are scanned properly why is it so? out of 10 , 9 of the cards scanned does not renders the first name and the last name the only thing it detects properly is the numbers rest all the info goes in notes.
this is the only feature am not happy in consent of not working.

Mine is the same. I have noticed the accuracy of the contact fields is dependent upon the clarity of the picture. In other words, the clearer the picture, the more accurate the OCR software is able to read and understand the contact fields it populates. This makes perfect sense considering the nature of OCR=Optical Character recognition; if the character is not recognized, the software cannot fill the contact fields accurately. I guess ultimately, the OCR software is lacking and hopefully will improve in future firmware versions and be more forgiving with blurry photos (SE are you reading this?). That being said, I love showing this feature to gawkers here in the US.

sometimes this may depend on the type of the business card aswell....
some work great and certain types, normally the uncoventional kinds are not proccessed well enuf.....but im more happy wit it than dissatisfied...

yeahhh my frd from states he saw my p990i and currently hes using nokia e50 and jasjar and when he saw p990i and i showed him the killer feature business card scanner he was like i wanna buy this but p990i showed me something that i never expected ...
all the details in notes anyways i hope it gets done in the next firmware
