> W900 or K790?

I have to get a new mobile phone in a matter of few hours...can anyone please tell me which one of these shud i buy....let me tell u that im deeply impressed with the W900s better video capture ability and its loud speakerfone and better MP3 quality....Im impressed by the K790s camera but extremely put off by its poor video capture and the fact that it has a bloody joystick....I currently have the K750i n i adore the fone, but the joystick has forced me to get rid of the fone....lastly also the fact tht W900 is no longer in production therefore its resale will be v low...but then again the way SE slashes prices im sure the K790 will not be worth half of wat it costs now a few months from today...plz help me out!

The W900i has a high resale price considering. You won't be disappointed with it. The video is great and the cam is very decent.

Isn't that a myth that the W900i has a high resale price? I had one, unlocked and unbranded and it only fetched £150 on eBay along with the 1GB Memory Stick and MXE-60 that I included as well. To say I was a tad disappointed would be an understatement.
Heck, looking on eBay for completed W900i listing the average price (scammers aside) is about £170. The K800i is going for about £190 - £200.
Anyway I digress...
I've had both phones for equal amount of time (six months) and I have to say I like the K800i more than I did the W900i.
My main gripes with the W900i where the camera which has no protective covering and is prone to scratches if you don't handle it well after a duration of time, plus the fact that at times the thing was too damn big. There is absolutely no need for the size of it, I didn't have a problem using it, just that when it's in your pocket it sticks out by a mile and taking the thing out to text someone is akin to pulling a lightsabre out of your pouch.
The K800i has a much better camera and several other benefits in the UI plus it's more compact and smaller. About the only things I can mark it down for are the fact that yes video is a bit of a downer and in a few months everyman and his dog will have one!

One more thing, can anyone tell me that does W900 support SWF or flash themes? Cause i really missed tth feature in K750 and my cousin who had a W550 even had SWF support n flash themes...so I hope beyond hopes tht W900 has it? does it? n wat about K790/K800 does it have flash suppport?

JOJO at the moment both K790 n K800 are available here in Pakistan but K790 is more preferable as the mobile operators here hvnt yet introduced 3G...they hv started EDGE though...
Having said tht guys, i did go n buy the W900...i hafta say i nevr saw a screen this nice n soothing to the eye in a mobile phone...but only when i brought the set home i was devestated to find tht the set wasnt recieving any signals! in other words i cudnt make or recieve calls...all the other functions were fine n the mobile seemed OK except the signals part...so i had to part with it just 2 hrs later n i sent it to the reseller's service center where they ll try to fix the problem...Naturally i am worried as i traded in my K750 n paid some money too to get the W900...can anyone tell me about this problem of the set not gettin any signals? as in wat could be the cause? is it just a software malfunction or some hardware problem? more importantly is it fixable n if yes will it resruface soon after being fixed (i only have 2 months warrantee on W900 as i bought a used set). The reseller's service center says tht the problem is fixable but i need to know if anyone else faced this problem? I repeat everything else from games to videos n themes (except 1-2 themes animation was lagging) was fine n functioning....id appreicate ur replies

All i know is that the problem is fixable as my friend's 3250 had the same prob. Also, I think you should have gone with the K800/790. W900 is already more than a year old, and soon you wont find any spares for it.
