hey, how do you configure your t68 so that you can send and retrieve email from yahoo... globe wap don't have the link to yahoo anymore... thanks...

Assuming that you have configured it for the proper data connection account(GPRS or CSD).

Configure your email settings as follows:
Account name: [name you wish to call it. ie Yahoo]
POP3 server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
POP3 port: 110
Mailbox: [your log-in name]
Password: [your password]
SMTP server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP port: 25
email address: [your return email address]
From name: [optional]

That's it.

i think CSD is available to pre-paid subscribers. Not sure though, better call 211.

i'd like to go line na rin eh...
para may GPRS....
and all the other features a line subscriber gets that a prepayer doesnt....

I can help any Globe subscriber in MetroManila to configure their T68 for Wap, GPRS and Yahoo mail browsing. Customer service people at 211 don't always provide you with accurate infos because they have not used the phone extensively. At present, GPRS at Globe is still free of charge. You Can send SMS (even to other countries) free of charge and faster by GPRS. Yahoo mail can be sent and retrieved by Gprs or thru your dial up ISP.
Just post your celfone number and I'll get in touch.

Just curious. I'm a Pinoy in New York who just got a T68, configuring GPRS (iStream) to connect via Bluetooth on my iPAQ 3870 for internet surfing.

Is the T68 common in Pinas? Are people starting to do wireless internet on a Pocket PC the way I described.

So many advances in the Philippines -- how great!

sending SMS via GPRS

This is indeed possible with our phones but I am not sure if the SMS is still being deducted from the free SMS allocations.

If it is, then there really isn't any advantage sending SMS over GPRS or via SMSC. Kung may bayad na ang GPRS, doble pa ang nasingil sa 'yo. ( 1. deduct from SMS allocation or Php 1; 2. GPRS data charges.)
