Say if you listened to about 10 - 20 tracks in a day, would it take considerable toll on the battery level?

for me, no.
my bus journey to uni is 50 mins approx, lets say i listen to 12 songs there and 12 songs back. I think it goes down 1 little bar thing on the battery level by the end of the journeys (that is assuming i dont make phone calls in lectures)
