Just incase anyone is interested - i've succesfully managed to get the sky by mobile application working on my P990i (even though sky say it's not compatible) - it works a treat in flip closed and flip open mode and i've been able to record sky+ programs from my wonderful P990i over wifi and GPRS

you must already be registed so just install the java version of the sky mobile software (same version as for you K800i) and that's it...it works really well - ignore the fact it the sky website says it's not compatible - just choose another sony ericsson device (think i chose the W800i)

it's a java app so there is a possibility it will work on WM devices that have Java support - after all, that's the purpose of Java - cross-platform compatibilty

is as far as I get. Same on my K800i which, I notice, like most current decent handsets, is omitted from the compatibility list on Sky's website! Is there a way I can download the application to my PC from another source and then transfer it?

I'm using the SkyMobile_SonyWithoutTv.jar version as linked to above.
When installing I think it said the version was somthing like 3.01 or something. What versions are other people running?
