Well it could be very useful depending on the phone you have. For instance: take the Z520, it doesn't have a memory card slot so its own media player is, well, useless with just 16mb of internal memory. Also, it doesn't have an FM radio but it DOES have a bluetooth connection so you could leave your cell phone in your backpack and use your ipod with the BluEye and not worry about missing a call.
It's actually an interesting alternative considering that the ipod nano now has an 8GB version (and that kind of memory is not available on MS duos, let alone MS micros) and it plays back music "gaplessly", something that really annoys me when I'm playing music on my K750 -and according to some of the owners of the newly released W850- hasn't been fixed on that player either.
