Just got an email from a friend saying that R1EG001 is out on SEUS. Since I have no K790i, I am not sure if this has been released for all. Anyone can confirm? That's a good news. Congratulations.

yes I can, I already updated to R1EG001 two days ago, and not by SE update but via the phone itself (on the air, thanks to EDGE).

I suggest we keep one thread for k800/k790 firmware overview:

The bugs and fixes for your k790i is same as the "R1ED001"

The only difference is that for k790i (unbranded) they call it "R1EG001" (India, and certqain other countries)

And yes the firmware was out some 2-4 days ago on SEUS.

@ prabu, the OTA update is for branded phones only with specfic network operators firmware. (eg, vodafone, t-mobile, etc etc)

Since we dont have such system in India that feature is useless.

so compariing the R1EG of k790 is same as R1ED for k800?

so i'm guessing that the R1EJ released for k800 how not many difference with the R1ED also?
