Is this really a new ipod? What do people think? I think its probably just a photoshop perhaps? I really dont know why some one would post it on ebay though....

No one knows if thats the new Video ipod or not?...those pictures shown on ebay have been lurking on the net for over a year now so i would presume its most likely a scam.

What an impractical idea! I've seen the concept 1000 times and the two words that spring to mind each time I see it?
"Finger prints".
Imagine the screen when trying to watch a film if you've been scrolling with it!

Those pictures have been ciculating ever since the 5th gen was launched (Oct 2005). There is a thorough rubbishing of the pics on the ilounge forum. The person who made the pictures, basically photoshopped the screen-area of the 5th gen, and duplicated it in order to make the screen appear to fill the entire surface of the iPod.
Apple never announce new models prior to launch. Usually, Steve Jobs will announce new products etc. literally days before the products are ready to be shipped.
Purely based on the iPod cycle of new models (i.e. roughly every year a new or upgraded model has been launched), I would speculate that a new iPod is soon to be announced. However, this may be delayed by the 'minor' upgrade which was introduced recently. Basically, Apple will always keep you guessing. I have been buying iPods since the 1st gen., and I have yet to have found any leaks re iPod launches.
Basically, If you come across anything on the internet purporting to show the next Apple/iPod release, it is most likely a scam.
