Hi, I have been problems with savegames on my k800i. Basically, games used to save or autosave fine, but now they just dont, so if I quit a game a certain number of missions in, on restarting, there is no 'continue' button

When I tried to save in a game that has a manual save button, it crashes with the error:
'java.lang.security exception'

Its important to say that all of these saves used to work fine, but now no longer do. Any ideas?

I have experiened the same problem, and not only games. OperaMini, for example, does not remember bookmarks anymore. One game I have installed, that worked fine on my K700i crashes with a java.io.exception and a message about "unable to save data" when exiting, and another says

"Not enough memory for saving data! Please delete another application!"

Strange, since I have a 1GB M2 installed, and at least 300MB is still free. There should be more than enough memory. I was hoping that the firmware upgrade to R1ED001 should help, but it did not. Maybe R1EG will?

My suspicion is, that installing the game or application just by sending the jar file to the phone over BT, as I ususlly do, does not reserve enough space for user data. Perhaps a customised .jad file would help. I have not made a lot of research in this, since I don't use my phone as a game console primarily, but if anyone could find a solution I would be grateful, since it affects Opera Mini as well.

just about identical for me!
perhaps I should try transferring some games from my phone to the mem stick to free up some phone memory, but all the same there are 50MBs free on that.

you might be right about the .jar thing, but it would seem strange that ALL games used to save, and now ALL games dont anymore.

Same problem for me. I'm absolutely sure that I was able to save bookmarks in Opera Mini, and I was able to run that game that now refuses to start. I haven't actually tried to remove all other games but that one though.

grr.. its really annoying! the only way to get around it seems to be to minimize the game until later, i guess meaning you can't play anything else in the meantime. Arg!

The good thing is that you actually CAN minimize the game. That was not possible on the K700 for example.
I have posted a query to support center. I don't have very much hope that they can help, they probably say that it's OperaMini that's faulty, but you never know...
