Hello everyone. I am a newly registered user from Romania but know Esato for some time now. Currently I own a Sony Ericsson W800i and I recently

bought a 2GB Memory Stick manufactured by Sony. The problem is that I only could copy 700 MB of data on it. I will change the card later this week

but while trying to fix my problem I resorted to changing the firmware version of my telephone. The phone came with version R1AA008 and I resorted

to a GSM service shop to preform the upgrade. After waiting about an hour I got the upgraded version. Now my phone shows version R1NA005, which

according to http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=92737 is an older version. I wanted a version like R1BC002 for example, not a firmware

downgrade. This is why I took matters into my own hands and installed the SEUS software on my computer. This still didn't solve my problem. SEUS

says I have the newest firmware version.

I also noticed that after the firmware upgrade at the service shop the internet links in themes and sounds menu are missing. Furthermore, the

colour seem less vivid.

The question is, how can I upgrade my firware or at least get the initial version back. Or am I wrong and mine is the newest version? Please help me because my phone just got worse and I really like this model. Thank you in advance.

It seems your phone was flashed with 'cracked' 3rd party tool which changed its original CDA into 'universal' CDA. SEUS will always rejects such a phone. The only way is to find someone with higher f/w and force him to flash yours.

OK, thank you very much for answering but since I'm new to all these phone flashing procedures, how do I do that? I really don't have the slightest idea where I could find the newest f/w (I suppose f/w stands for firmware) and how I can force someone to flash my phone.

At first it really annoyed me that I paid money for a f/w downgrade but now I just want the upgrade, I can live with the money I lost. The bad thing is that I also convinced my girlfriend to upgrade her k750i. Now she has version R1N035. And the idiot at the service shop tried to convince me that for my w800 version R1AA008 is the absolute oldest and R1NA005 the newest. Not to mention that he offered to flash my w800 with w810 f/w. I thought this were impossible because w810 has more buttons than w800 but I didn't argue because he was the specialist.

Again, please help me because I don't have the slightest idea what to to. I don't even know what CDA stands for. Should I use a software different than SEUS? If so, which software? Or can I change my CDA back to the way it was?

Well, thank you for answering. After all, IU went back to the GSM shop and asked them for a particular version. So they reinstalled the f/w version I wanted.
