I got my P990i today and I install Sony Ericsson PC Suite on my computer, but every time I disconnect my phone, my computer restarts itself!! It's driving me mad! I've tried it on 2 computers and I'm getting the same thing. Can anyone help??

Do you know what firmware version you have? Is it branded on vodafone?

I've updated the handset to R7A001 and the handset is unbranded (sim free). I managed to upgrade the firmware as I didn't need to turn the phone on, but when the phone is on and it disconnects from the computer, it crashes the pc and restarts it

It's a pc i'm using and it's happening on both my pcs in my house. I've also tried to reinstall all the drivers twice.

are both your PCS of the same configuration?

I think u can try pluging into USB port at the back of the PC if you are using the USB port at front of the PC

Both pcs are completely different and I have the phone plugged directly in the usb port at the back of the computer!
