hi guys, i just noticed during startup, when the sony logo is displayed and the background is black, i noticed there are some greenish littly tiny dots on my screen! it looks like faulty pixels, just wonder if anyone has got the same case? want to find out if its factory defect or what?

the faulty pixels are most visible when the background is black, including when u r taking pictures in the dark

this is sad, bcoz it is more like faulty pixels, and it surely does effect the quality of graphics. the tiny dots or the faulty pixels remaind unchaged under different colors, just like those on PSP, which is annoying.

i'm getting one for my girl, but was surprised wif the dots, have few more than what i have currently, but if it's normal for anyone, i don't think it shall b a problem?

yah actually shouldnt b any problem at all, but do you notice it exists all the times, only when the color is darkened, it is more visible. don't u think so?

as long as it is not a dead pixel, shouldnt be bothered, should it?

When do you see these columns? I get some very thin transparent blue lines on the screen when using the video recorder in a dark space, probably a result of the CMOS sensor being overdriven to make the most of available light. If you see these just in regular use of the screen (PIM, web, playing video, etc.), then there may be an issue with your screen.

I also have a couple of stuck pixels, both blue, but the only time they're noticeable is on a black screen and you have to look really carefully!
