Bought a HPM-70 and got rid of 512mb mspd by having a 1gb one. so i felt like carrying the whole world's songs with me
and after 236 mp3 tracks i had 2 stop.
So, I searched here n there, ended up with eaac+ and Easy cd-da extractor. Ripped ALL my mspd songs into eaacplus(64mhz, 44000...) extension m4a....and voila 491mb got freed again!
Before inserting new tracks I decided to give it a go for a whole day. The sound seemed better--->tends to--->ok...the sound volume got down and felt like the treble is much lesser than it uese 2 b and the bass seemed a li'l bit dul. Now I'm kinda confused actually....as I've read in internet eaac+ can carry mp3s quality witha much lesser bit rate, but what happened with mine?
what making me more confused, what should i do, carry 200+ more tracks or b happy with these tracks with better quality....Comments ?.....(Sorry for the long post

K750 supports AAC, not eAAC+. i had the same experience when i tried eAAC+ with it, but haven't tried AAC. it might be better...

I have a hard time to distinguish the quality between iTunes' 192 Kbps AAC-LC (ripped from audio cd) and Nero AAC-HE quality .25 / ~64 Kbps (converted from the aforementioned iTunes 192 Kbps AAC-LC) through a good quality pc speaker, my Altec Lansing ACS 621. The only drawback is that K750 can't read the .m4a id tag, but since the media player is not relying on the tag to organize music, it's not really a big deal. I organize my songs on the MSPD using folders and sub-folders according to genre > artist > album > tracks, just like the way iTunes organizes songs on HDD (except genre), and that makes creating playlists in my K750 much easier.

So u're suggesting DMC + Nero Digital Audio (AAC-HE) decoder and encoder. How many tracks can you fit with the output file format in a 1gb card?

Right now I have 396 tracks quality 0.25 (vbr) that occupy 703MB on my 1GB mspd. The bitrate vary greatly depending on the complexity of the songs, ranging from 49 Kbps Bach's "Partita No.1 in B-flat - Praeludium" to 70 Kbps Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!". On average they are around 64 Kbps each, or half the size of 128 Kbps mp3 cbr files. In my case, each song occupy 1.78 MB on average, so in 1GB mspd that has 979 MB, I probably can fill it with 550 tracks max. But 400 tracks are plenty for me, and I reserve around 250-300 for pictures, videos, games, and others.

i'm not an audio expert so i can't really explain to you why it does play. i just assume that eAAC+ is simply a much more developed form of AAC that allows even lower compression without sacrificing too much audio wuality.
what i do know is that the K750 white paper only specifies mp3 and AAC as the supported formats. furthermore, when i tried to play an eAAC+ on my K750, i was surprised that it actually played, although like you said, the sound was quite poor. but when playing that same file in my K800, the sound was crystal clear.
if you will us your music in a K750, maybe you should just encode in standard AAC.

Same goes with eAAC, it will play, but like low bitrate normal AAC

eaac plus (or roughly aac+ v2) is so much better than ordinary aac in low bitrates mainly due to SBR and PS. I guess you still can still play it without PS and/or SBR,but it wont be nowhere near with it imo.

I was trying to use DMC with Nero digital audio, followed every link provided and downloaded everything, but for some reason god didn't make me smart enough to understand how to make all these work together...

1. Install DMC. You can only convert from/to .wav and .mp3 initially. To convert from/to other format, you need to install other codecs, and in this case you need mp4 codec.
2. install dBpowerAMP-codec-mp4.exe. At the end of installation, it will display further instruction. Read it, and you'll see it tells you how to install nero codec, and I quote:.

I should say that I don't have good ears, so it's hard for me to distinguish between 192K LC-AAC and ~64K HE-AAC. I get it right with my pc speaker at the most 7 out of 10 tries, and much worse result with K750 and the supplied earpiece with megabass on. On the other hand, my son (11) passes the blind test with perfect score 30/30 using K750!
So before converting everything, I suggest you try with a few identical songs encoded with different encoders, i.e: 128K mp3 and q.25 m4a. Create a playlist and see if it is acceptable to you. If not, try higher quality.
