> Versus to Air the Sony Ericsson Championships

VERSUS, a network that celebrates competition in all its forms, today announced that the network will air the Sony Ericsson Championships November 7-12 from Madrid, Spain.

VERSUS will televise more than 29 hours of the Championships, including all singles matches, from first ball to championships point.The Sony Ericsson Championships brings together the world’s best women tennis players, with the top eight singles players and top four doubles teams from the regular season competing for the season-ending titles and a share of the $3
million prize. This year’s event will likely see the Sony Ericsson World No.1 singles ranking on the line.

In singles, Tour stars Amélie Mauresmo (FRA), Justine Henin-Hardenne (BEL), Maria Sharapova (RUS) and Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) have booked their tickets for Madrid.The four remaining singles spots will come down to the wire and be decided in the coming weeks.
