I'm trying to decide between k750i (about €199) and w810i (about €299). What will this €100 extra deliver?
I have read the numerous post that compare the two but miss an important part:
* The Netfront browser: how good is it actually at displaying html pages? Can you compare it to the Opera mini or is it something completely different?
* Does anyone visit wap-pages over edge? My operator offers edge connection for wap at the same price as over gprs, so that might be interesting. But only if it really makes a difference for wap... is it really faster - sure, in connection speed, but for wap does it really make a difference?
Other than that the k750i seems a more balanced phone; the ui of the w810i in the shop gave me a bit cluttered impression.
(I'm using a k700 now if anyone would care to compare)

Hi DeLa, K750 would be a good phone if no problem of its joystick. I just prefer the nav key on W810. If only using for WAP browsing, I dont think there is big difference using EDGE on W810 due to the limit and discontinuous data flow.

I suppose you use EDGE for connecting a computer trough your phone or for emailing with the phone? If so the advantage is clear, if not, I wonder if it is worth the 1/3 price extra. Over here gsm data like edge, other than simple wap, is expensive and easily replaced by numerous wifi hotspots. As long as most users go to wap through gprs the wap-sites will largely aimed to the gprs fataspeed (for at least the next 2 years)

i use wap browsing and emails edge in my fone, never for pc. have to admit, its faster then gprs, i managed even to listen to intenet radio and watch tv in my edge fone ( nokia e50 )
