Forgive me if this has been posted before, I have looked.
When charging your phone while it is on (optimized charging) do you still get the same length of battery life as when you charge it as when the phone is off?
Just recently I've started to beleive that if I switch my phone off while charging then it will ultimatly last longer, but to be honest its not always convenient and I just wanted someone to clarify whether I'm just being daft or not.

Since the charger has a built in circuit that measures the battery charge, it doesn't matter if the phone is on or off, it will charge to the same level. It might take a little longer to charge it when its turned on as there are many of the phone function that's runnung constantly using battery power. As far as lifetime, Li-Po batteries are not affacted by recharging them either from discharged or half charged position.

Only thing you want to avoid is excessive charging using an auto charger - those tend to do a "fast-charge" which overtime will ruin the battery. Good for emergency, but don't get used to using it all the time.

you won't see any difference between charge with phone off or with phone on.. it's the same to me.. probably it's a 0.01% chance to notice about that though

@red - This was ACTUALLY done on my T68i . . . I have no other recourse, as the one I got was a branded one though OPENLINED. I noticed that when I charge the unit in OFF mode . . . the MMS/GPRS settings of the network the unit is configured to is RESET to the default one So, from there . . . I started charging it in ON mode. I made notice that the BATTERY's stand-by becomes shorter . . . compared when CHARGED in OFF mode. I'm quite certain that this experience will completely APPLY with all models . . . unless, I'm Very Much Mistaken !

I think Jojo is correct. After hearing peoples k800i's were refusing to power up I decided I would leave it on and charge it on. That is until the problem was fixed either in replacement or a future fw. This was back in late August. And if I can recall before I made that decision the standby time as Jojo stated above was longer.

@sir - At first, I was REALLY thinking that charging the fone both in ON & OFF mode would make NOT much difference . . . battery's stand-by-time . . . after. But since I had a hands-on experience with it . . . I am NOW fully convinced that charging the battery in both ON and Off modes will have a DIFFERENT stand-by-battery-time . . . results
