coastal processes are processes you find by the coast!
erosion being the key one. where waves and water beat agaisnt a cliff to create erosion, what can be done to avoid this is place gabions along where there erosion is happening to stop it happening. Gabions are jsut big metal cages filled with stones.
like that!
another one is longshore drift. where the sea batters agaisnt the coast where you find hard rock and soft rock, the soft rock wears down creating sand whereas the hard rock creates what you call "headlands" you can find lots and lots of different types of erosional landforms such as stacks and dumps, arches and caves. not much can be done to stop this happening.. you can use groynes to stop sand moving but thats about it!

who can forget rock armour, essentially getting huge hard rocks from scandinavia and dumping them on the beach. There is also beach nourishment which works for a little while before it gets washed away
i loved geography, if i could do anything with it, i would have loved to have done it for a degree
