Does anybody method of improving the brightness on this thing? The screen and even the keypad looks so dull next to my W810, only when I turn on the walkman and the orange lights come on do I feel slightly awake when using this phone lol..

Also, is there any colour other then orange when in Walkman mode?

Finally, is there any way to see the bright orange illumination at any other time other then in Walkman mode for a couple of seconds? For example is there are method or app or something to make it illuminate when you get a call?

Its a nice phone but it's just ever so... dull.

I have noticed on mine that the screen brightness changes automatically to the surroundings. For example, if it's a dimly lit area, the brightness of the phone is dim. If it's in daylight or under a room light it gets brighter.

Is this a feature of the w850i or are my eyes playing tricks on me?!!!!

There is a light sensor on the w850i to adjust the brightness

Yep there is a light sensor, in pitch black it looks far too dull to me

The thing is, that is not as bright as the keypad or screen can get as when I plug in my USB lead to a PC it momentarily gets ALOT brighter, as bright as I would expect the screen backlight to be and obviously when you start the walkman app the keypad is also VERY bright!

One thing that really annoys me is that you constantly need to be fiddling with the walkman menu just to keep the light visualisations going, otherwise it just fades off after a while when the screen goes dark, what is the point of this quirky little feature if you can only enjoy it for all of 10 seconds or so???

Thinking about it, i'd prefer if the light sensor worked the opposite way round! I.e, brighter in the dark and dimmer in the light, imho this is a pointless feature of the phone.
