Hi
I have been toying with the idea of getting a P990i, however there is only little (if any) information about voip
does anyone know (even better has used it!) if voice over ip is possible on a wlan connection on the p990i? can the p990i be used as a sip client? there are rumours about a skype client for symbian to be released in the future, but presently, there doesn't seem to be any sopftphone for symbian uiq3?!? voip is not mentioned in the p990i manual, but there are sites which mention voip capabilities of the p990i?!?
is anyone using voip on the p990i? thank you for your help!

" Right now we do not support Symbian OS. We are working on it and in future there will be Skype for Symbian as well. Unfortunately we cannot estimate when it will be available for download. "
Dont know about other VOIP clients.
Having said that, take a look at:

From my limited understand, I think the problem is that the SIP stack is not exposed in SE phones. Other Symbian-based phones (like the N80) expose the SIP stack for applications.

Fring has released UIQ version. May be other Symbian VoIP clients have UIQ version. List of them

I tried installing fring but the download gets stuck at 99% and then my web connection goes off.
