Following hot on the heals of the announcement that
Vodafone is dropping Carphone Warehouse from selling its mobile phone contracts, rumours are gathering pace on the internet that Orange is about to follow suit.

Orange have one very good reason to want to apply pressure to Carphone Warehouse. Both companies are offering 'free' broadband services in the UK, and CPW has become more of a threat after clinching a deal to buy AOL UK business earlier on this week.
It doesn't make sense for CPW to sell the benefits of Orange to customers and encourage them to take up broadband via Orange and not CPW.

You can only get the Ornage broadband if you buy direct from Orange at the minute i think anyway, so cpw never could offer orange broadband.

oh they try...
tell people that if they take an orange contract, phone orange to get free broadband..
took orange a wee while to twig but its been stopped now....
