Hi, I recently bought a K800i form ebay" locked " on Three, I phoned three up and asked for the unlocking code, which they originally claimed wasn't available " coz the phone was so new and the codes weren't yet available ", but on the second call they said was no problem if I'd pay £15. No problem. Anyway to cut a long story short, they need to know the number of the original sim which came with the phone, and I can't for the life of me find it !

Any ideas ?

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I've emailed the guy I bought it from, and he told me he buys unwanted upgrades and flogs em on , so he's no idea of the original phone number

Just phoned three, and I've now been told they don't unlock phones bought on ebay. I tell you, three cs don't know what they're doing, dependent on when you ring and who you talk to , you get completely different answers every time !

Why not buy a new Three sim off of eBay (again!) and bang that in the phone - that should do it. As for "unlocking" what network did you want to unlock it to? After all Three is Three or have I got this post wrong? Usually we unlock an Orange to use a T-Mobile sim or vice versa - but with Three!

I'm wanting it unlocked so I can use my O2 sim in it as well as my Three sim !

Right! I'm with you - I was under the impression that a "normal" sim (O2, Voda, etc) would not work in a Three phone. Anyone else been down this route?
