> Memory Stick Pro Duo format question
Bookmark topic
Hi, I'm new to the forums, and have a quick question before I make a rather big purchase.
I'm looking into buying the w810i, but was wondering if it supports a msp duo formatted for a psp. I allready have a 2gb stick in my psp, and if I could simply swap it to my w810i it would definately be the deciding factor on which new phone to purchase.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Gil

Thanks, that actually does help!
So basicly, I can simply take the msp duo from my psp, and put it in the w810i and it will read the music files without having to reformat? If so, that's great news, and I'll most definately be buying one asap. Sorry if I sound redundant, I just want to be absolutely sure this is possible before I spend 300 dollars on this phone.

@gilla - Firstly, welcome to Esato mate

I think that will work dude . . . I just cannot confirm it - directly as I only have a 512 MB pro duo on my K750i

Reading threads/posts here on a daily basis .. . me have a positive feel that it will work. Now, to be 100% accurate . . . give this thread of yours some ample time for others to put their comments in . . . Good Luck !

Thanks for the warm welcome, and also the honest reply!
I have a good feeling that the swap will work, but as I said above, I want to be 100% sure before I buy it.
I've read some posts about the w810i having some issues with hiss during audio playback in headphones.....does anyone have any more information about this? Also, any other input on this phone is greatly appreciated.
Thanks again for the quick resopnses, and I'm looking forward to hearing more.

The w810 comes with a hiss but depends in the importance you give to music quality if it affects or not

well, if the psp store all the mp3's in a single folder, you can just add that folder in the w810, so it would definitely work, but what is the memory stick formatted as? i think that the w810 formats the memory stick as FAT (16) so if the psp does the same, it is sure to work. hope that helps
