Hai folks
Well, I was converted to Sony Ericsson when I got my k700. I was so thrilled with it, and love the SE interface so much that I don't intend to go elsewhere as things stand.

I'm sure that's a story often told.
Now, after the K700 I had an S700, and now a K750i. My contract is up and it's upgrade time so the question is: K800 or W850i?
I'm planning on popping into Carphone Warehouse to try and get my hands on an unlocked model of either, as I would like to use them with international sim cards.
But which do I go for?
I have a 60GB iPod Video which comes with me wherever I go. The thought of *not* having my entire music collection with me for a long journey is too painful to bear!
I get very good use out of the k750's camera, often using it in favour of my normal camera just for convenience more than anything.
So much as my usual usage goes - a nice texting interface, good call quality, and mp3 ringtones plx!
For all intents and purposes the phones seem very similar and I am leaning toward the k800 for its design (bit slimmer, I prefer my k750i to the S700 for this reason) and the fact that I plainly wouldn't use the walkman aspect of the w850i...
Comments?
Edit: Hypothetically speaking, if a decent new contract is offered (they always seem to give the shiny stuff to new customers) I would be tempted by that, and cancel my current. And IF I couldn't get an unlocked K800i or W850i, have any UK providers seriously butchered the software beyond the realms of useability?

I have looked through, but every time it is a personal question and the question is always, 'well, what do *you* want the phone to do?'
This time it's what *I* want it to do.

Trolling yet some more I find mention of a memory card included with the w850i, but not the k800i?
And the k800i doesn't use normal Memory Stick Pro Duo? Doh :\ I have some of those.
Is this right?
Edit: 3 posts allowed on first day! /blush Thanks for the replies guys.. it's looking like the K800 if my finances can stretch to a decent memory card (Car Service, Hairdresser, Holiday, it all adds up!

)

Well, you're not going to use the

on the W850 so there's no reason to get it then. The K800 is a much better choice for you. The camera's much better than the W850's.
Easy choice

as you mentioned about walkman useage before, get the k800/K790 cuz you're not interested in listening to music.

The basic question is: Walkman player or Cybershot camera?
K800i, and some other

models use the new MemoryStick format Memory Stick Micro, alias M2. It's a memory stick too, but the physical dimensions are much smaller, about 9 x 10 mm, and other memory stick versions do not ffi into the phone, also, the currently biggest M2 available is 1GB, so if you already have a big Memory Stick duo, and want to use it, you should choose W850. The M2's are still quite expensive, since the format is new and there are few other manufacturers.
Also, if you think listening to music is more important than photographing, you should also choose W850, since it has a somewhat more advanced music player. The music player in K800i is OK, but not as advanced as, for example the walkman player in W300i.
K800i, on the other hand , has a 3.2 Mpixel camera with auto focus, while W850 has a 2Mpixel fixed focus camera, i.e. a less advanced camera with fewer possibilities to alter the photos. The camera in K800i has a lot of extra functions and features that are not available in W850.
This is why the K800i is labelled "Cybershot", like Sonys' digital cameras, and the W850 is labvelled "Walkman".
For a complete comparison, you can use the "compare phones" function either on Esato or on SonyEricsson's web. In fact, the two phones have surprisingly much in common when it comes to dimensions, weight, and functionality.

As you often used the cam in your K750i, you shouldn't choose W850, because it doesn't have autofocus.
