I tried using the p990i in https connection but it only said you are being connected ang wating about 5 mins it said it can't connect. Can anyone try it on a https connection???

Did you set anything on the phone??? Because the CAFE that i try my phone needs a card to put the code to work but it doesn't show the https website. Because the setting will be set on the https just enter the code from the card then you are connected if you are using a laptop but on the p990i it doesn't work. help please..

Sorry, didn't realise you meant a HotSpot. I connect at home over my routers WiFi connection. When out I'm using 3G and no problem with Https.

sorry, i'm fine here. the phone doesn't seem to like certain sites, but other ones are fine.

for 3G I had to make sure a proxy was not selected, not sure if the same would apply to a wifi connection

Yes I have connect it through a hot spot. Just scan connect, The phone will download The hotspot site, punch in the code and that is it. That is all that I know. O yes, before I was using pda ipaq and sometime I could not connect to a hotspot because it was not configure for handheld. That could be the reason try other hotspot.

But the phone did not download the site it just saying connecting but after how many minutes it will say cannot connect to the server..
